Airport
Bhairawa (Siddharthanagar) is a city in the Rupandehi District of southern Nepal, located just 22 kilometres from Lumbini, the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama — the Buddha. The Lumbini Sacred Garden contains the Maya Devi Temple built over the exact birth site and an Ashoka Pillar from 249 BC, and is surrounded by monasteries built by Buddhist nations from around the world. Bhairawa's airport provides convenient access for pilgrims and tourists visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
