Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah state on the island of Borneo, a gateway city for one of Southeast Asia's most biodiverse regions. Mount Kinabalu — at 4,095 metres the highest peak between the Himalayas and New Guinea — dominates the nearby national park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beyond the mountain, KK offers outstanding seafood, colourful water villages, pristine dive sites at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, and access to the orangutan sanctuaries of the Kinabatangan River.
