Rayong is a coastal province on Thailand's eastern seaboard, part of the Eastern Economic Corridor industrial zone and best known to tourists as the gateway to Ko Samet — a small national park island with lovely white beaches just a short ferry ride from Ban Phe. The province also produces some of Thailand's finest fruit, particularly durian, rambutan, and the prized Rayong nam doc mai mango.
