Samut Prakan is a province at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River, effectively a suburb of Bangkok on the southern edge of the metropolitan area. It is home to Suvarnabhumi Airport — Bangkok's main international airport — as well as the Ancient City (Muang Boran) outdoor museum, which contains scaled replicas of Thailand's most important monuments spread across 235 acres.
