Da Lat is a mountain resort city at 1,500 metres in the Central Highlands of southern Vietnam, famous for its cool climate, pine forests, flower gardens, and French colonial villas that earned it the nickname 'Le Petit Paris'. The city is surrounded by waterfalls, tea and coffee plantations, and strawberry farms, and its proximity to the Langbiang mountain plateau makes it a base for trekking and adventure activities. Da Lat is also renowned as Vietnam's garden city, supplying flowers and vegetables to markets throughout the country.
