Phan Thiet is a coastal city in Binh Thuan province, best known as the gateway to Mui Ne — a beach resort strip famous for its red and white sand dunes, strong winds that make it Vietnam's kitesurfing capital, and fresh seafood. The surreal fairy stream, the ancient Cham towers of Po Sah Inu, and the fishing harbour filled with colourful basket boats make the area one of southern Vietnam's most distinctive destinations.
