Gardens by the Bay is a 101-hectare nature park on reclaimed land in central Singapore, the centrepiece of which is the spectacular Supertree Grove — 18 tree-like vertical gardens up to 50 metres tall that light up in a spectacular sound-and-light show every evening. The two climate-controlled domes, the Flower Dome (housing plants from five Mediterranean-climate regions) and the Cloud Forest (a 35-metre indoor mountain wreathed in mist and tropical plants), are masterpieces of architectural engineering and horticultural design. The gardens offer some of Singapore's most extraordinary photo opportunities and a genuinely immersive encounter with global botanical diversity.
