Tourism
Inle Lake is a freshwater lake in the Shan Hills famous for its unique Intha fishermen, who row their narrow boats by wrapping one leg around an oar. Floating gardens grow tomatoes and flowers on the lake surface, and stilted villages house markets, Buddhist monasteries, and workshops producing silk and silver. The surrounding hills are dotted with Shan and Pa-O villages, making the lake area one of Myanmar's most culturally rich destinations.
