Tak is a province in northwestern Thailand bordering Myanmar, a mountainous and largely forested region through which the Ping River flows. The province is known for its elephant conservation work, the Lan Sang and Mae Ya waterfalls, and as the main route connecting central Thailand to the border town of Mae Sot.
