Airport
Betong is the southernmost town in Thailand, a small city in Yala province surrounded by mountains and located just kilometres from the Malaysian border. The town has a large Chinese-Thai community, a famous post box (the largest in Thailand), hot springs, and the Piyamit Tunnels — an extensive underground network built by communist insurgents in the 1970s, now open as a historical attraction.
Check the season, the visa you need and how to cross the border, then build your route.
