Narathiwat is the southernmost province of Thailand bordering Malaysia, a predominantly Muslim region with a strong Malay cultural influence visible in its language, food, and architecture. The province has beautiful and largely undeveloped beaches, the ornate Matsayit Klang mosque, and traditional Kolae fishing boats with distinctive painted prows. Su-ngai Kolok in the province is the main border crossing to Malaysia's Kelantan state.
Check the season, the visa you need and how to cross the border, then build your route.
