A free visa-on-arrival stamp is available to citizens of ASEAN member states (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand) and a growing number of countries under bilateral agreements with Indonesia. As of July 2025, Brazil and Turkey were added to this free-entry list, joining ASEAN nations as new beneficiaries. All holders receive 30 days on arrival at all international entry points without any fee or prior application. This exemption is not extendable — travellers needing longer stays must use the eVOA instead.
