The Thai e-Visa system allows applicants to apply online without visiting an embassy. Tourist visas (TR) are issued for 60 days single-entry. Multiple-entry tourist visas (METV) valid for 6 months with 60-day stays per entry are also available. Applications take 3–5 business days. Payment is by credit card. This is the recommended route for travellers planning stays beyond 30 days or requiring a METV. Nepalese and Sri Lankan passport holders use the eVisa as their standard entry route. Indian nationals may choose the eVisa as a convenient alternative to the Visa on Arrival.
