eVisa (Tourist, 28 days)
50 USD Online
28 days Single entry

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Myanmar has been under military (Tatmadaw) rule since the coup of 1 February 2021. A civil war is ongoing across much of the country between the military and a coalition of resistance forces including ethnic armed organisations and People's Defence Forces (PDF). Active combat zones include Sagaing Region, Chin State, Karenni State, Karen (Kayin) State, Shan State, and parts of Rakhine State. All major Western governments (EU, UK, USA, Australia) advise against all travel to Myanmar as of 2025. The eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm) may be operational, but this does not indicate that it is safe to travel. If — after consulting your government's current travel advisory — you still choose to travel, the eVisa costs USD 50 and grants 28 days single entry for tourism, with a 90-day validity period. Apply online at least 7 days before travel. Entry is available at Yangon International Airport, Mandalay International Airport, Naypyidaw International Airport, and designated land crossings when open.
