Chinese ordinary passport holders may enter Myanmar visa-free for up to 14 days under the bilateral visa exemption agreement that predates the 2021 coup and has nominally remained in effect. China maintains diplomatic and economic relations with Myanmar's military government (the SAC — State Administration Council) and Chinese nationals are among the few foreign visitors who enter Myanmar with relative regularity through Yunnan Province border crossings (Muse-Ruili, Chinshwehaw-Longjiang, etc.). However, the security situation throughout Myanmar is severe: civil war, restrictions on movement, arbitrary detention, and economic disruption make travel risky even for Chinese citizens.
