Rach Gia is the capital of Kien Giang province in the Mekong Delta, a busy fishing port and the main departure point for ferries to Phu Quoc Island. The nearby U Minh Melaleuca Forest is one of the largest wetland ecosystems in Southeast Asia outside the Amazon.
